BEAUMONT — Two children have suffered serious fireworks injuries in Beaumont's south end.
One child was injured in the face and another child was injured in the neck by fireworks Wednesday night, according to information Beaumont Fire Department District Chief Scott Wheat provided to KFDM News.
Wheat says the children were taken as trauma alert patients to CHRISTUS Hospital St. Elizabeth at about 10:30 p.m. July 4.
They were hurt near Doucette and Brooklyn, and Wheat says there was a large crowd that had gathered in the area and a number of officers were on scene..
