SE Texans weigh in on NFL's new rule preventing players from kneeling during anthem

The NFL announced a new rule preventing NFL players from kneeling during the national anthem.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick created national controversy when he knelt to protest police brutality and racial inequality.

The league will now fine players who kneel during the anthem.

It comes after TV ratings plummeted and game attendance dropped.

While many people praised Kaepernick and players who kneel during games, a former NFL player here in Southeast Texas says there are better ways to create change.

KFDM/Fox 4's Peter Eliopoulos has the report.
