Woman faces charges after dog found abandoned with permanent marker writing on its fur
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- Ross County authorities have identified and charged the person they say is responsible for abandoning a dog in a park with "free" and "good home only" written in permanent marker on her.
Kendra Stafford faces charges of animal cruelty and animal abandonment.
The dog, a 5-6 month-old lab mix which was taken in by the Ross County Humane Society, has since been named Marvela and adopted.
Stafford's expected to be arraigned in Chillicothe Municipal Court on June 8th at 9 am.
