Putin, clad in hockey uniform, says Comey firing will have no effect on US relations

Russia President Vladimir Putin, clad in a red uniform and armed with a hockey stick, was asked point-blank by a CBS News reporter his thoughts on the firing of FBI Director James Comey.

"How will the firing of James Comey affect US-Russia relations?" reporter Eliza Palmer asked.

Putin responded, "there will be no effect.

"Your question looks very funny for me," he said through an interpreter. "Don't be angry with me. We have nothing to do with that. President Trump is acting in accordance with his competence and in accordance with his law and constitution. ... You see I'm going to go play hockey in front of hockey fans. I invite you to do the same."

Putin then proceeded to skate circles around the opposing team -- even scoring a goal.
