SAN ANTONIO, Texas (WOAI) — A Texas man shot and killed two people who were trying to rob him at an ATM, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Police said the shooting happened around noon Friday at a Chase Bank.
A man was withdrawing money from an ATM in his car and noticed two men approach him who he believed were trying to rob him, police said.
The victim then withdrew his handgun and shot both of the suspects, officials announced at a news conference. Both suspects were pronounced dead on the scene.
San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said, "It was a robbery that didn't go well for the robbers."
Police said the investigation is ongoing and they will interview the victim further.
The suspects killed were not immediately identified.
