Kirbyville residents preparing for sale of beer and wine in the city after election
Kirbyville residents are preparing for the sale of beer and wine to come to their town.
Kirbyville voters decided Tuesday night to approve the sale of beer and wine at the supermarket and convenience stores in that city.
Supporters say it'll bring much needed revenue to the community.
Kirbyville's Mayor Frank George says he was neither for nor against beer and wine sales in his community.
However, he says, the voters have now spoken.
Merchants say the expected revenue will be a boom for them and the city.
Angel San Juan spent the day in Kirbyville speaking to residents and the mayor about the sale of beer and wine in the city.
