    Families able to honor crime victims at 'Tree of Angels' event



    Families who've lost loved ones from violent crime were able to come together and hang decorations to honor them during the 18th annual 'Tree of Angels'.The tree in the Jefferson County Courthouse was full of angels and ornaments by the time the evening was over, each one displaying someone who had died in a crime in the area."My son is gone and I'm just trying to get over it," says Genevia Savoy.Savoy's son, 29-year old Brandon Mims, was shot and killed on October 16th.KFDM/Fox 4's Chris Mullooly reports how families who've been at the event before, were able to comfort Savoy, as she continues to deal with the pain of losing her son.
