Clothes and school supplies given out by JCSO, more on the way

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office gave out clothes and school supplies Friday morning, and they have plenty more to give out.

Donations they've piled up from other organizations leaving the area and churches stopping their relief efforts gave the sheriff's office more donations than they knew what to do.

"We can help give back, help alleviate some of that financial problem give their children clothing and school supplies," says JCSO Captain Crystal Holmes.

Kelly Catholic High School students were out helping deputies.

"There's always opportunities before to go but and help but the hurricane definitely increased the people that are in need," says KHS senior Alejandra Hill.
