Water line repair past Pine Island bridge leads to boil notice
HARDIN COUNTY —
Water customers in Pinewood Estates are encouraged to boil it before consumption while crews repair the water line past the Pine Island bridge.
The water line is along Woodway Boulevard in Hardin County.
The streets included in the boil water notice are also Woodbine Drive, Woodlawn Drive, Wood Manor Lane, Woodshire Drive, Pine Lake, Wood Bend and Woodcrest Lane.
Children, seniors and people with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria that could come from not boiling the water. This includes for drinking, cooking and ice-making.
The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil, then boiled for two minutes. Purchasing bottled water is also a viable option.
Officials with the public water system will notify customers when boiling is no longer necessary.
