Mug shots released of nine women arrested in prostitution sting in Beaumont
Nine women have been arrested in Beaumont in connection with a prostitution sting. Beaumont police have sent us their mug shots. To view them, click on our gallery. KFDM and 6 News on Fox first reported this story last night as an exclusive. Beaumont police say prostitution has always been a problem in this area. Investigators tell us prostitution takes place more often in certain areas including College Street between avenues A and F, and on 11th Street between Baptist Hospital and I-10.
Officers say undercover sting operations help prevent other crimes.
BPD says prostitution stings makes Beaumont a safer place to live.

Yesterday Beaumont Police Department Narcotics and Special Assignments Unit (SAU) made nine arrests for Prostitution throughout the city. The operation targeted problem areas involving Prostitution complaints. Two of the nine cases were upgraded due to previous convictions.
