Motorcycle crash takes life of 24-year-old man from Orange

A 24-year-old motorcyclist from Orange died at the scene of a crash Wednesday morning after his motorcycle hit a utility pole and a mailbox near the intersection of FM 1136 and Turtle Road in Orange County, a Texas Department of Public Safety spokeswoman announced in a news release.

Cullen Mann, 24, of Orange, rode a 2014 Harley Davidson northbound on FM 1136, when the DPS sergeant says he traveled off the roadway "for an unknown reason."

DPS received the call at about 6:20 a.m.

Mann was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the DPS statement.

Troopers are still trying to determine what caused the crash.
