LIT Fire Academy receives fire truck donation to help with training cadets
Lamar Institute of Technology Fire Academy cadets have a new resource that will to help them in their training to become first responders.
The LIT Fire Academy has receive a fire truck that Exxon Mobil donated to the fire academy.
LIT president Dr. Lonnie Howard accepted the keys for the fire truck on behalf of the fire academy.
Dr. Howard says community partnerships -- like the one with Exxon Mobil -- help LIT to thrive.
He also says since Hurricane Harvey LIT's enrollment is on the rise.
LIT's fire academy, which serves the Southeast Texas region, has a graduation rate of more than a 90 percent, says Dr. Howard.
