Lake Charles man arrested for child pornography
LAKE CHARLES —
A Lake Charles man was arrested Friday morning as the result of an investigation into child pornography, according to a news release by the Louisiana State Police.
Last month, detectives assigned to the Special Victims Unit of the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations initiated an investigation into the possession and sharing of child pornography in Calcasieu Parish.
The investigations led troopers to obtain a search warrant for 43-year-old Robert Lejeune II's Lake Charles home.
On Friday, troopers served the warrant and determined he downloaded and shared videos of children being sexually abused.
Lejeune was charged with pornography involving juveniles and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. Bond was set at $100,000.
If convicted, Lejeune faces up to a $50,000 fine and from five to 20 years in prison without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
