BPD Lieutenant Ky Brown's daughter remembers him as stubborn, caring and hardworking
Just a few days since after losing her father, Kasey Sloan can't stop thinking about the all of the good memories she's had the last 29 years.
Sloan is the daughter of fallen Beaumont police Lieutenant Ky Brown.
Brown lost his 90-day battle with stomach cancer on Saturday.
Just days after coworkers held a fundraiser to assist the Brown family with medical expenses.
Sloan says the money raised, nearly $56,000, will help ease the burden her family is facing with burying Brown.
Brown served BPD for 32 years, working on patrol and SWAT.
Sloan says her father was a natural born leader and many officers admired him and his tenacity.

Ky Brown's funeral will be held Wednesday inside Julie Rogers Theater at 10 a.m., followed by his burial at Magnolia Cemetery on Pine Street.
