EVANGELINE PARISH, LOUISIANA —
A Beaumont woman is charged with attempted first degree murder of a Louisiana deputy after investigators say she attacked him during an altercation involving her boyfriend.
The deputy shot and killed her boyfriend when investigators say the man began fighting him.
The girlfriend and her attorney dispute that, saying the deputy shot her boyfriend while he was still lying on his stomach.
