A Louisiana man is in custody after Beaumont police took him into custody Friday on Major Drive near I-10.

Police say they considered 35-year-old Ivory Myles of Louisiana to be armed and dangerous.

He was suspected in Louisiana of committing multiple crimes, including aggravated assault, according to authorities.

Beaumont police was helping U.S. Marshals and Louisiana police on Friday to take Myles into custody.

"He's suspected of committing aggravated robbery, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault," said Beaumont police Ofc. Haley Morrow.
