Beaumont police arrest Louisiana man suspected of numerous crimes
A Louisiana man is in custody after Beaumont police took him into custody Friday on Major Drive near I-10.
Police say they considered 35-year-old Ivory Myles of Louisiana to be armed and dangerous.
He was suspected in Louisiana of committing multiple crimes, including aggravated assault, according to authorities.
Beaumont police was helping U.S. Marshals and Louisiana police on Friday to take Myles into custody.
"He's suspected of committing aggravated robbery, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault," said Beaumont police Ofc. Haley Morrow.
Authorities say on Thursday night while Myles, a Burger King employee, was at work he pulled out a gun and robbed the fast food chain in Louisiana and forced his 42-year-old manager into a car and drove to Houston.
Investigators say she called her family today (Friday) at about 2 p.m. to tell them that she had been dropped off at a bus station.
